High fructose corn syrup sweetened soda pop has spawned the worldwide diabesity epidemic. Taxes on soda pop consumption loom to curb consumption. Will these proposed taxes make any difference to soda pop addicts? Well, one study shows a 21% reduction in consumption of sugary drinks when a tax was applied. But will that be meaningful?
