Pill Organizers May Induce Adverse Effects

So why did patients when switched to a pill organizer to sort out their medications end up feeling unwell compared to when they didn’t use the sectioned pill box? The answer is that their doctor doses their medications based on control of their conditions (blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.). But most patients sporadically take their medications and when a pill organizer is used, they are more likely to adhere to their prescribed daily schedule. Overdosing can result. When this happens, they may need to return to the doctor and have him/her adjust the dose of their medications. [Science Daily July 5, 2016]
