Magnesium + chromium decreases insulin resistance more effectively than either alone

There has been criticism that chromium, known as “glucose tolerance factor,” isn’t effective in blood sugar control and maybe now we know why.  [Journal Trace Element Medicine Biology Oct 2014]

When middle-aged adults with insulin resistance (inability of cells to utilize insulin to burn calories/sugar into energy) were given 160 micrograms of chromium and 200 milligrams of magnesium daily, fasting blood glucose, insulin and insulin resistance improved, but not with chromium or magnesium alone.
