Is acetaminophen the primary cause of autism?

A newly published study acetaminophen (Tylenol) use during pregnancy increases the risk for autism. [Science Daily July 1, 2016] A report in 2009 also noted that the autism epidemic began around the same time (1980) acetaminophen was being substituted for aspirin during childhood bouts with fever. [Alternative Medicine Review 2009] Another revelation is that Cuba vaccinates all of their children but has an incidence of autism that is 1/300th that in the U.S. Acetaminophen is not available over-the-counter in Cuba as it is in limited supply because of the U.S. embargo.
