Herpes virus and infertility

Uh oh.  A strain of the herpes virus (HHV-6A) infects the uterus lining of 43% of women with unexplained infertility, but it was nowhere to be found in the uterine lining of fertile women. This is the likely cause.  About 1.5 million American women are infertile, with 25% of cases going unexplained.  The HHV-6A strain of herpes is typically undetectable in blood or saliva. The immune response to the virus is then believed to induce inflammation and negate conception.  [PLoS ONE July 2016]

Acetaminophen and infertility

Men who take the common pain relieve acetaminophen (Tylenol) are less likely to produce offspring.  [Daily Mail UK July 14, 2016]  And if children are produced, they are more likely to be autistic. [National Library of Medicine]  Acetaminophen is also the leading cause of liver failure. [Journal Clinical Translational Hepatology June 28, 2016] Why is this medicine still allowed on the market?  Health authorities aren’t protecting your health.  Buyer beware.  $200 million of Tylenol was sold in 2013.
