Fish oil slightly undoes what calorie restriction accomplishes

Calorie restriction is universally considered a practice that doubles the healthspan and lifespan of laboratory animals and presumably humans.  Of interest, given the fact we live at a time when humanity is shedding its aversion to dietary fats, we find calorie restricted animals that consume lard as their main fat sources live longer than calorie restricted mice who consume fish oil or soybean oil as their main source of fat.  It is a development worth contemplating how this translates to the diet we embrace.
