Cupping therapy becomes the rage for athletes at this year’s Olympics in Rio

Having started with A List celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, athletes at this year’s Rio Olympics are applying glass cups to their skin to create suction.  The practice, dating back to 3000 BC in Egypt, is known as cupping.  [Wikepedia] Athletes say it relieves soreness.  [Daily Mail UK Aug 7, 2016]  News reports do not say whether dry or wet (blood loss) cupping is being practiced.  Wet cupping involves blood loss and is akin to blood letting.  It can induce anemia.
