The brain of overweight individuals is 10 years older than lean counterparts at middle age

Have you ever wondered why some people act like they are prematurely old and others of the same age don’t?  Scientists today report that brains of obese individuals display difference in the white matter of the brain similar to lean individuals ten years their senior.  Overweight and obese individuals have “striking differences” in the volume of white matter compared to lean people.  [Science Daily Aug 4, 2016; Neurobiology of Aging 2016]
