Review of published studies reveals aloe vera reduces fasting blood sugar (FBS) and measure of long-term blood sugar (hemoglobin A1c).

I love these so-called meta-analyses where investigators analyze studies published in the past and find modern medicine has been ignoring a cure for a long time. In this instance it’s aloe vera that significantly reduces FBG (46.6 mg/dL) and HbA1c (1.05%). Individuals with fasting blood glucose greater than 200 mg/dL benefited the most.  Various aloe vera products were used including aloe vera juice, powdered gel capsules or other combined ingredients.  See this full-text report and examine the chart showing the various studies and dosages used.
